Henri and Sonia are putting their son to bed when Hubert and Ines arrive for dinner, a day earlier than expected ... As the evening degenerates, Yasmina Reza's play - elegantly translated by Christopher Hampton - blends cruel observations with high comedy in an hilarious and poignant examination of our most personal intimacies and private longings. We see three versions of the same socially hapless evening in which the characters change subtly each time, providing a dramatically different outcome for each. November 20th thru December 8th at Urban Stages Translation by Christopher Hampton and directed by Jerry Heymann. Evening performances are at 7:30pm, matinees at 3pm. Late seating at the discretion of ushers. Run time: 90 minutes without an intermission The cast features: Claire Curtis-Ward as Sonia, James Patrick Nelson* as Henri, Leah Curney* as Ines, and Dominic Comperatore* as Hubert. The production team includes Brian Dudkiewicz (scenic design), Paul Hudson (lighting design), Genevieve Beller (costume design), Janet Bentley (sound design), Abigail Stuckey (props design), Lindsey Hurley (production stage manager), Emma Burns (assistant stage manager), Technical Direction by TJ Craftsman, TBD Casting (casting director), and Nikki Castle (Line Producer). It is General Seating which is first come, first serve. All sales are final. If you are late to the event, it is possible your ticket will be sold.
Puzzlemaster Will Shortz and Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! host Peter Sagal walk into a bar... No, it's not the start of a joke. It's the essence of Ask Me Another, a rambunctious hour that blends brainteasers and local pub trivia night with comedy and music. Host Ophira Eisenberg invites in-studio guests and listeners alike to stretch their noggins, tickle their funny bones, and enjoy witty banter and guitar riffs from house musician Jonathan Coulton. For an hour, listeners can play along as Eisenberg puts questions to a rotating band of puzzle gurus, audience members and special mystery guests, who then takes a turn in the contestant's chair facing trivia games written especially for him or her. What you'll hear resembles the casual intimacy of game night at a friend's house: one where scores are forgotten in favor of hilarious gaffes. Ask Me Another is recorded live at The Bell House in Brooklyn, NY. Ask Me Another is a co-production of NPR and WNYC.
Please join us for an evening of laughter with F Comedy Club, a collaborationg of talented up and coming comedians. $12 cover and two drink minimum. $20 at door if you do not reserve in advance. Dont miss it!!
